Role Description / Working Relationships:
The homeroom teacher is responsible to the Academic Department Leader.

Normal Working Hours and Duties:
1. The working hours are:
- Monday to Friday from 08:30 AM – 17:30 PM
- Up to 15 days extra to participate with free payment in the Duties bellowing (PD, admissions events, marketing, other events, etc.)
2. In addition to the Foreign Teacher’s regular teaching duties, both a full-time and part-time Foreign Teacher (1.0 FTE or less) is expected to perform, without additional compensation, such reasonable non-academic duties (with the exception of extracurricular duties) as may be assigned. The Foreign Teacher will also be expected to be available for professional duties both before and after the closing of the year.
- Make PYP happen in classroom as the classroom teacher in the grade arranged;
- Make IB PYP collaborative work;
- Another academic collaborative work and teamwork;
- Team leader if be arranged;
- Teach the pupils and maintain order and discipline in accordance with instructions to be given to that effect;
- Submit reports on achievement and progress of the pupils in the Foreign Teacher’s class;
- Submit reports on achievement and progress of the pupils in the Foreign Teacher’s class;
- Teach different types of English ESL programs as Oral English, Jolly Phonics, Fitzroy reading, Writing, etc;
- Attend teachers’ meetings before during and after school;
- Attend School or Grade Level events as required e.g. Autumn Festival, Christmas, Chinese New Year, Community Picnic, PTA Bazaar, etc.;
- Participate in the respective Professional Development programs including any weekend activities if scheduled;
- Perform any other professional duties;
- Participate in the extracurricular program;
- Attend residential field trips as requested;
- Take on extra work by employers other than the school is strictly prohibited.
Requirements:
The successful applicant is expected to have the following skills, abilities, knowledge, and experience:

- Native English Speaker;

2. Knowledge
- Good capacity of contemporary teaching and learning theories and practice in early years education (1-6 Yrs.);

- Well organized and good capacity of cooperation of team;
3. Experience
- At least 2 years of successful experience as a kindergarten homeroom teacher;
- PYP experience preferred;
- Pedagogical education background preferred • Experience working with ESL preferred;
- Master degree preferred;
4. Qualifications
- Completed Introductory PYP course preferred;
- Qualifications in literacy Language teaching preferred;

Salary & Benefits:
- Basic salary:15-30K;

Salary is paid in local Chinese currency (RMB) and can be converted to most major currencies and transferred out of China after completing the necessary bank paperwork;
-Teachers are paid according to their years of teaching experience on a 16-step Teacher's Salary Scale.
