This school is a full time primary school. It is one of the two demonstrative schools that won the "China Sustainable Development ESD Project" of UNESCO award in Shandong province. It has 27 classes and more than 800 students. The school is well known for its beautiful environment, complete education facilities, and modern auxiliary facilities, including computer labs, reading rooms and cafeteria. The school strictly implements the new Chinese curriculum standard, and actively engages children through classroom teaching that is "Independent, Cooperative, and Explorative". The school teaches the national curriculum, emphasizes English instruction, and provides training in the aspects of calligraphy, painting, music, dancing, sports, and scientific and technological invention.

Job Profile:

●Job title: PYP teacher
●Location: Qingdao(Shandong province)
●Salary: Up to 30K before tax; 2K housing allowance
●Teaching hours: 15-20 per week
-Office hour is required
-Half-pay during summer and winter holidays

Job Details:

We are currently looking for experienced PYP Homeroom Teachers for various subjects.


  1. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons according to IB framework
  2. Ensure course material and syllabus are up to date
  3. Monitor, assess and record students' learning progress
  4. Communicate with parents and ensure they are aware of their children's progress
  5. Supervise classroom activities
  6. Participate in parent meetings, department meeting and professional development activities


  1. Bachelor degree or above required, 2 years teaching experience in teaching primary kids.
  2. IB PYP training certificate/past IB PYP teaching experiences is an asset.
  3. Dedicated educator, love for children and willing to learn more about Chinese culture.
  4. Able to design course material and unit plan independently and collaboratively (with program coordinator and the teachers).
  5. Able to develop/design course material and unit plan with an integration of Chinese curriculum.
  6. Able to incorporate lessons/activities focusing on developing students’ social and emotional capacities.
  7. Able to create active and inquiry-based teaching and learning in the classroom (applicants with a background in Science is an asset).
  8. Able to evaluate students based on learning standards.
  9. Able to adhere to the school professional regulations.
