Job Profile:

MotiMedia is seeking a Managing Editor / Editor-in-Chief / Senior Editor, who is extremely process-driven and has mastered balancing pragmatic creativity and artistic creativity, to oversee its entire content production initiatives. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for spearheading, managing and developing our content team to ensure all content produced is constantly and consistently in sync with Moti’s brand, direction and ethos.

*Candidates with management experience will be considered for the Managing Editor role.


Job Details:

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation
    • Design and Create the overall Content Product Lifecycle of MotiMedia, in particular with Video Content, the overall Content Production Strategy and Processes, and the overall Video Documentation Strategy and Processes for activities across MotiMedia and the company’s sub brands.
    • Make sound editorial and artistic suggestions and decisions about creative ideas, story selection, packaging and promotion
  • Content Production
    • Implement, Lead and Manage the Content Production Strategy and Processes, and the overall Video Documentation Strategy and Processes
  • Content Distribution (for Managing Editor role)
    • Design, create and manage the Moti’s Content Distribution Strategy and Processes, and lead and manage the overall Content Distribution Lifecycle, including implementation of relevant platforms and tools
  • Content Management (for Managing Editor role)
    • Design and/or implement, optimize and manage the company’s assets using internal or third party DAM, MAM, ECM or similar systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in Video Content / TV / Film Production / Other Media in Producer or Senior Editorial roles
  • Proven hands-on experience in Content Planning, Production, Management and Distribution process
  • Proven experience in creating story/stories of interest
  • Crisis communications experience a huge plus
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), preferably trilingual
  • Language, Literature, Journalism, Broadcast, Communications or other relevant Degree or above
  • Great communicator and team player.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills. Discipline to meet stringent deadlines and job requirements
