A. ROLE PURPOSE

The primary responsibility is to deliver strong accounting expertise, improvements to the finance processes, increase cost awareness and risk management to the business.

The role needs to work cross-functionally and take responsibility for the day to day finance operations, including but not limited to the areas of accounting, tax, and audit.

B. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

a. Accounting: The main responsibility is to ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions, and to also ensure that the company obey all governance standards on local statutory regulations and reporting requirements.

b. Financial & management reporting: Responsible for the day to day operations of the finance department for the business unit/entity. This includes but is not limited to monthly and year-end account closing and financial reporting. In addition, this role is also highly involved in the budgetary process and for the overall product and manufacturing profitability, including help to expense analysis.

c. Cash management: Accountable in managing cash inflows and outflows.

d. Controls and discipline: Ensure robustness of internal controls including clear segregation of duties, disciplined implementation of delegated authorities, robust payment approval/verification process, budgetary process.

e. INTERFACES INTERNAL/EXTERNAL

Internal: Management teams and work cross-functional coordination.

External:

a. Key contact for local bank communication, audit, tax (US & MX) and government agencies.

b. Knows very well at Maquilar company(An assembly plant opened by a foreign company in Mexico with products sold back to the country) rules.

C. KEY COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required to have the necessary accounting background and a relevant work experience with at least 5 years professional background in the areas of accounting and finance.

a. Bachelor degree and above

b. The ability to communicate in English (verbally and in writing) is a requirement.

c. SAP skills are essential and proficient.

d. Good computer skills including Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.).

e. The role is also required to have excellent interpersonal skills and shows resilience while being able to execute on daily tasks and participate in the strategic initiatives.
