Job Profile:

In this role you will be responsible for the Lenovo’s Data Center software portfolio, managing lifecycle from planning to end of life in order to achieve sustainable, revenue, profitability, & market share goals.
You will have a broad responsibility on Data Center software offering working with the worldwide team in taking future concepts and bringing them to life by defining the right software solutions and it’s positioning creating customer value by driving insights into unsolved customer problems.
Key Areas of responsibility
1. Achieving Financial & Growth goals
2. Business Management System: Proactively engages with peers & other functional departments on executing programs to achieve goals. Provide status information to Manager including forecast/pipeline information.
3. Product Life Cycle Management: Responsible for driving products from concept to customer delivery. Co-ordinates end to end product launches across the region (implements/drives formalized checklists, manages Gameplan), ensuring successful & timely launches designed to deliver maximum impact, as well as superior ordering process (minimizes complexity).
4. Drives consistency in providing product/mix guidance to the geographies on ramp plans.
5. Pricing: Works with the pricing teams to provide appropriate competitor mapping, and associated Price, Features, Value analysis input.
6. Planning: Works with Business Manager to develop quarterly & annual financial plans for specific products via advanced analysis & recommendations. Works with pricing and marketing teams to ensure recommendations are translated to actionable plans.
7. Product Development: Engages with geographies & the WW SW team to ensure the appropriate portfolio for the market.
8. Tactical Execution: Proactively conducts market & competitor analysis to identify business opportunities, provide insightful & actionable outputs across products, markets & competitors. Provides in-depth competitive analysis on a quarterly & ad-hoc basis, including product positioning / SWOT analysis. Delivers Subject Matter Expert support to the geography sales & marketing teams, on both technology & products. Provides monthly/quarterly roadmap updates to relevant extended teams. Provide product feedback back to WW product management and/or pre-sales to design complete business solutions.
9. Cross team engagement: Working with Channel and marketing team keeping partners and their customers up to date with new SW offering, and support in creating ad-hoc campaign to develop SW channel business
10. Able to analyze complex, multi-variable trade-offs to make business case recommendations


Job Details:

1. Degree in Marketing and/or Business preferably with a strong analytical discipline
2. 5 years of experience in enterprise data center products or software management
3. Excellent technical/product knowledge in the Data Center arena
4. Problem solving & analysis skills, commitment & action oriented
5. Demonstrate Broad understanding of trends & technology for x86 server, software virtualization, converged and hyper-converged systems
 Hyper-converged environments (Nutanix, Simplivity, VSAN)
 Server Virtualization (VMWare, Microsoft, Linux)
 General purpose Windows and Linux workloads
6. Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills
7. Excellent skills in English required (extra languages are nice to have)
8. Proven track record in regional product line management role
9. Recommend marketing strategies and campaign knowledge
