Responsibilities include:

• Attend meetings with the principal, team leaders, team members, parents, and students. Follow up with communication
• Deal with curricular matters at the team and Middle School level.
• Promote English acquisition in class and out of class
• Assist with ESL needs throughout various subjects
• Focus on creating a “team” feeling toward the students, and a positive team attitude for viewing academic, social and behavior issues.
• Coordinate discussion of students.
• Supervise two ASAs on a weekly basis
• Demonstrate presence in hallways.
• Research and complete Professional Development on a yearly basis

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Education or Bachelor degree in the relevant subject areas with PGDE (Postgraduate Diploma of Education), or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Preferred at least 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Previous experience in an international school and familiarity with the IB curriculum is highly preferred.
