Job Profile:

1.Review Project Implementation Monitoring Reports and other supervision documents, such as Aide 2.Memoires and Back-to-Office Reports, prepared by Project Teams for all SBF projects under implementation; review implementation progress of those projects and update project status in IO’s project database; assess compliance with relevant Bank policies and sectoral/thematic strategies; identify/analyze and alert/report issues that need management’s attention and provide recommendations to IO Management and Project Teams on how to address those issues.
3.Work closely with the corporate results monitoring team at the Strategy, Policy and Budget 4.Department to develop results frameworks for investment projects and the related guidelines on monitoring and tracking project results as well as achievement of the results of sectoral/thematic strategies.
5.Participate in the Bank’s supervision missions and/or site visits for selected SBF projects, e.g., high-risk projects or problem projects, as selected by IO Management and assist the respective 6.Project Teams in helping the Borrower and Implementing Agencies manage project risks and/or resolve implementation problems.
7.Lead analytical tasks on a wide range of operational, country and sectoral issues in the portfolio, review and interpret information/data, identify issues and recommend actions/solutions.


Job Details:
1.Minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure investment projects financed by public funding, e.g., planning, financing, project preparation and supervision of project implementation.
2.Out of the above 8-10 years of working experience, minimum four years of experience in supervising and monitoring infrastructure investment portfolios that mainly consist of public sector-financed projects.
3.Good understanding of project design, preparation and supervision, including roles of fiduciary and safeguards oversight for infrastructure investments.
4.Previous experience with a multilateral or bilateral donor a strong asset but not required.
5.Superior written and verbal communication skills (in English) with demonstrated ability to think strategically and synthesize complex issues (translated into effective oral and written briefs).
6.Basic understanding of key infrastructure sector/theme analytical tools. Able to identify routine operational issues and problems. 7.Able to assist in developing elements of learning and knowledge dissemination activities.
