Job Description

1. Prepare and implement lessons that encourage and foster proficient oral and written expression, critical thinking, applications, and ethics
2. Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices
3. Assign homework, write tests and essays
4. Inspire the curiosity of student
5. Prepare tests to evaluate students’ progress, assess students’ abilities, strengths and weaknesses
6. Creates an environment of mutual respect and understanding, manages student behavior
7. Attend parent conferences
8. Contribute to extra-curricular activities, school events

Qualifications

1. Wide-ranging intellectual and educational interests and ability to commit to a creative, integrated curriculum.
2. Knowledge of age appropriate curriculum, lesson planning requirements and behavioral management strategies.
3. Ability to tie in all areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum to support student learning.
